To your surprise, you shall find that Bhutan has a very diverse climatic distribution due to altitudinal differences of the places from the sea level. From warm Southern plains to severe cold in the Northern Mountains to temperate climate in the Central, Bhutan has different climatic conditions.

However on a general level, Bhutan has a very moderate favorable weather throughout the year

The autumn season (mid-September-November) is most preferred time to visit Bhutan. This is mainly because the weather is moderate with clear skies and lots of sunny days. Moreover most of the festivals take place during this time of the year.

Spring Season (March-May) is also considered as a favorable time to visit Bhutan. During this time of the year, the nature will be in its most beautiful phase with blossoms everywhere. There will be mild rainfall, but festivals still occur in this season.

During winter (Dec-Feb), it is quite cold. The Southern parts will be warmer in contrary to high altitude places. Usually people don’t prefer to travel by road due to heavy snowfall, but it is still wonderful time to visit Bhutan.
